The Project
Reason
Bike4All aims to support the sport of cycling in underprivileged environments. While we have been supporting with knowledge, expertise and have been bringing people together, giving organizational support, there was an increasing awareness that the real problem: lack of money needs to be solved to keep riders with so much passion racing.
After a lot of hesitation (cannot solve it for everyone), we decided to try and solve it at least for some. That was the start of Keepthemracing.
In western countries, so many cyclists are fortunate enough to spend a lot of money on cycling. We hope some of us will want to support the same passion that riders from less privileged countries have with a small percentage of the budget we invest in our own passion.
The Project
Keepthemracing brings together fortunate cyclists from the western cycling community, with riders from underprivileged areas. We share the same passion, just don’t have the same opportunities. For a small percentage of the latest bike you bought, you can make a dream come true!
To support one of the riders or one of the programs, you can donate through the web shop. You start with a starting donation worth €10. With this purchase you receive a certificate with information, confirming your support. Per quarter you will receive a payment request worth 1 Euro per training your rider did (and posted on Strava – so you can check) in the past 3 months. No more then 1 training session per day will be counted – so your support will be maximum 31 Euro per month.
You can follow the rider you support on social media - and stay informed about their training activities or even have direct contact. There is no obligation to the rider to engage in intensive 1 on 1 contacts, but very often inspiring contacts will emerge. Riders will be coached to handle this part wisely.
