Santiago Quiroz was born and raised in the municipality of Jardín Antioquia. In the plattelang, Santiago had a very fine childhood. 

Santiago received a bicycle when he was still young. He only began to like cycling more when there was an element of competition. Together with a friend, he then covered many kilometers. 

Currently, his highlight is his national medals. His dream for the future is to race Paris and Nice one day.
