Vida Cycling Program

Since 1994 (...), Juliet Vivie is supporting disadvantaged young girls to ride bikes, train and race. She believes firmly that the training and races bring them self-discipline, confidence, social skills and generally better chances in life. Participating in the cycling program means that the Vida program also supports the girls in overcoming other struggles in life, like providing schoolbooks, paying school money, meals. It is a project with a huge societal impact.

The girls have had difficult times, some are orphans, come from poor families and are living in a very poor part of Ghana. The Vida Cycling Program is situated at Fintey in the Asuogyaman District of Eastern Region.

Juliette has been incredibly creative in finding support for the program over the past 30 years. Hopefully you want to contribute to the continuity of this great organization.

Cycling is mainly done on a grass track that the Vida program built. Some girls become ambitious and have been winning national races in Ghana on road and mountainbike. Two were even invited to the UCI training center in South Africa.

You can support the Vida Cycling Program by donating in our webshop. You will receive a certificate, confirming your support and you can follow the Vida Cycling Project, Juliette and the girls through social media.
